How Many Forms Do We Practice?

A client asked a very interesting question:

Hi Marcus.When we practice qigong after this course ends do we still only practice one type a day or a week? My thinking was that when we finish we do them all in a day.

Here’s my answer, pay close attention:

You ask a very interesting question. One which keeps coming up time and time again and which I don’t seem to be able to put a stop to.

The easiest way to get the best results from the material you are receiving is to practice just one qigong exercise per practice session.

Whilst you will get to experience 19 different qigong exercises during the home study course you will ultimately choose the 2 or 3 you like the most and focus on these.

Why?

Because success with Qigong comes from deepening your level of mastery of the 3 core skills of Qigong:

  1. Entering a QSoM
  2. Energy Flow
  3. Cosmic Balance (Standing Zen)

Success does not come from how many different qigong exercises you know or practice.

So at the end of the course you will be encouraged to choose those you enjoy the most, because experience has shown me that you’re more likely to continue practicing your Qigong is you enjoy it, rather than if you’re having to force yourself to do it.
